- 1/2 c chopped dates
- 1/2 c chopped prunes
- 1/2 c raisins
- 1 c water
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 c flour
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 c chopped nuts
Directions

1Boil together the fruits, water, and oleo.

2Mix together eggs, soda, salt, flour, vanilla, and nuts.

3Add batter to fruit mixture.

4Bake in 7x11 pan at 350 degrees for 15 minutes, if you want spicy bars add 1/2 tsp cinnamon and 1/4 tsp nutmeg.
