- 4 lb. green beans
- 1 3/4 tsp. red pepper (cayenne)
- 3 1/2 tsp. pickling spices
- 3 1/2 tsp. dill
- 7 cloves garlic
- 5 c. water
- 5 c. white vinegar
- 1/2 c. salt
Directions

1Wash beans and remove ends.

2Cut beans into 2-inch pieces and divide among 7 hot, sterile pint jars.

3Put 1/4 teaspoon red pepper, 1/2 teaspoon pickling spices, 1/2 teaspoon dill and 1 clove garlic into each jar.

4Bring water, vinegar and salt to a boil.

5Pour boiling mixture over beans, leaving 1/2-inch headroom. Seal.

6Process in boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
