  • 4 lb. green beans (whole)
  • 1/4 tsp. hot, crushed red pepper (per jar)
  • 1/2 tsp. whole mustard seed (per jar)
  • 1/2 tsp. dill seed (per jar)
  • 1 to 4 cloves garlic to taste (per jar)
  • 5 c. vinegar
  • 5 c. water
  • 1/2 c. salt

    Pack beans in jars.

    Add spices and garlic.

    Mix vinegar, water and salt in saucepan; bring to a boil and pour over beans. Seal with canning lids and process.

    Makes about 7 pints.
