- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/4 c. lukewarm water
- 1 c. cottage cheese
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. instant minced onion
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 2 tsp. dill seed
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. soda
- 1 egg, unbeaten
- 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 c. flour
Directions

1Soften yeast in warm water.

2Heat cottage cheese to lukewarm; add sugar, onion, butter, dill, salt, soda, egg and yeast mixture. Add flour gradually, beating well after each addition.

3Part of the flour can be mixed in using the mixer at medium speed.

4Cover and let rise in warm place until light and doubled, about 1 hour.

5Stir down dough.

6Turn into well-greased 1 1/2 or 2-quart casserole. Let rise again until light, about 30 to 40 minutes.

7Bake 40 to 50 minutes at 350°.

8Brush with butter and sprinkle with salt.
