- 1 envelope yeast
- 1/4 c. lukewarm water
- 1 c. creamed cottage cheese, warmed to lukewarm
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. minced onion
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. dill seed
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. soda
- 1 unbeaten egg
- 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 c. flour

Directions

1Dissolve yeast in water in large bowl until foamy.

2Stir in warmed cottage cheese, sugar and onion (softened in butter over low flame).

3Add dill seed, salt, soda and egg.

4Stir in flour to make stiff dough.

5Set bowl in pan of warm water; cover with towel and let double (50 to 60 minutes).

6Stir down and put in greased 1 1/2 to 2-quart casserole.

7Let rise 30 to 40 minutes.

8Bake at 350° for 30 to 45 minutes, until golden brown.

9Brush with butter and sprinkle with salt.
