  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1 c. creamed cottage cheese, heated to lukewarm
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon soda
  • 1 unbeaten egg
  • 1/4 c. lukewarm water
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tbsp. chopped onion
  • 2 teaspoon dill weed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 c. flour

Directions

    Soften yeast in water.

    Combine cottage cheese, sugar, butter, onion, dill weed, salt, and soda.

    Mix into yeast.

    Stir in half of flour and the egg.

    Add in rest of the flour.

    Knead several min, adding more flour if necessary.

    Cover and let rise till double in bulk, about 50 to 60 min.

    Stir down; shape into rolls and bake in muffin tin or possibly shape into hamburger buns.

    Let rise about 30 min.

    Bake in 350 degree oven about 15 min.

    Brush with softened butter immediately after removing from oven.
