- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 1/2 c. uncooked elbow macaroni
- 1 (No. 2) can kidney beans (undrained)
- 1 (No. 2) can tomatoes
- 1 can tomato soup

2In large skillet, saute beef, onion, chili powder, salt and pepper in butter or margarine until beef loses red color. Meanwhile, cook macaroni; drain.

3In a 3-quart casserole, place beef and cooked macaroni.

4Stir in kidney beans, tomatoes and undiluted tomato soup.

5Cover and refrigerate.

6About 1 hour and 30 minutes before serving, heat oven to 400°.

7Bake casserole, covered, 1 hour and 10 minutes, until hot and bubbly.

8Let stand 5 to 10 minutes.
