Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 lb. beef stew
  • soy sauce
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 green pepper, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, sliced
  • 3 to 5 potatoes, cut in chunks
  • 3 or more large carrots, cut in pieces
  • 1/2 or more cabbage head, cut in wedges

Directions

    Spray bottom of large Dutch oven with Pam.

    Brown stew beef, stirring until browned on all sides.

    Pour on soy sauce to taste. Cover with water and cook, covered, until tender. Add onion, pepper and celery.

    Add potatoes and carrots, pushing down into water, if possible.

    Lay cabbage wedges on top. Cover and cook until vegetables are tender.

    Serve hot.
