  • 1 1/2 c. lukewarm milk
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 1/2 c. lukewarm water
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 7 c. flour

Directions

    Soak yeast in lukewarm water 5 minutes without stirring; stir well before adding to milk mixture.

    Add eggs and shortening; stir well.

    Gradually add flour; knead well.

    Place in greased bowl; let rise.

    Punch down; let rise again.

    Punch down; shape into rolls. Let rise and bake 25 to 30 minutes at 375°.
