  • 2/3 c. syrup
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Combine sugar, syrup, water and salt in a saucepan.

    Stir over low heat until sugar is dissolved.
  3. 3
    Increase the heat and boil steadily, without stirring, until thermometer reaches 265° or until it forms a hard ball in cold water.
  4. 4
    Remove from heat.
