Directions

   Cook 3 cups sugar, 3/4 cup water and corn syrup until fairly hard ball when tested (260°).

   Remove from heat and pour slowly over egg whites.

   At this time, starting cooking 1 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water.

   Cook until very hard ball (300°).

   Add to first mixture and beat.

   Add vanilla and nuts or cherries.

   Drop on wax paper with teaspoon.

   Makes about 75 drops.
