   Combine syrup, water and salt and stir in sugar until dissolved.

   Boil to hard boil stage.

   Beat egg

   whites until stiff.

   Pour syrup on egg whites (slowly) while beating.

   Beat until smooth.

   Add nuts and vanilla and drop by teaspoon on wax paper.
