Ingredients

  • 4 c. sugar
  • 1 c. white Karo
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 c. pecans
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Cook sugar, syrup and water until it hairs from a spoon.

    Pour a little (about 1/2 cup) over well beaten egg whites, stirring constantly.

    Return syrup to the stove and cook until it forms a hard ball in cold water.

    Pour off in whites and beat until sugary looking.
  5. 5
    Add nuts and pour into buttered dish or pan.

    Let cool.
