Ingredients

  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. white Karo syrup
  • 1/2 c. boiling water
  • 3 egg whites, beaten stiff
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • pecan halves

Directions

    Boil sugar, water and syrup until, when dropped in cold water, will be brittle.

    When syrup quits bubbling, pour slowly over stiffly beaten egg whites.

    Add salt, 1 cup chopped nuts and vanilla.

    Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased platter.
  5. 5
    Put pecan halves on top of each piece.
