Ingredients

  • 2 2/3 c. white sugar
  • 2/3 c. white corn syrup
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 2 egg whites, beaten
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2/3 c. nuts, chopped

Directions

    Mix sugar, corn syrup and water in saucepan.

    Stir over low heat until sugar is dissolved, then cook, without stirring, to 260°.

    Remove from heat and pour, beating constantly, in egg whites.

    Add vanilla and continue beating until mixture holds its shape and becomes slightly dull.
  5. 5
    Fold in nuts.
