Ingredients

  • 2 c. granulated sugar
  • 2/3 c. Karo white syrup (red label)
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/2 c. nuts, chopped
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Directions

    Boil sugar, Karo, salt and water until forming hard mass in cold water.

    Beat whites of eggs until stiff and gradually pour on the hot syrup.

    Beat constantly.

    When mixture begins to stiffen, add nuts and raisins.

    Drop by teaspoonful onto plate oiled with Mazola.
