  • 2 lb. granulated sugar
  • 1 c. light Karo syrup
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 c. water
  • pinch of salt
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1/2 lb. nuts
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla

Directions

    Cook syrup, sugar, water, vinegar and salt (approximately 275°).

    Cook until the mixture threads.

    Slowly beat in well beaten egg whites.

    Add nuts and vanilla.

    Cook until thick enough to spoon.

    Drop on wax paper.

    Mixture hardens fast!
