Do It Yourself Mini Corn Dogs

Ingredients

  • 2/3 c. yellow cornmeal
  • 2/3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 slightly beaten egg
  • 2/3 c. undiluted Carnation evaporated milk
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 32 (two 5 1/2 oz. pkg.) mini wieners

Directions

    Sift cornmeal, flour and salt together.

    Combine egg, Carnation and oil.

    Stir Carnation mixture into cornmeal mixture. Pat wieners dry with paper towels.

    Insert skewer through end of wiener.

    Dip wiener completely in cornmeal mixture.

    Pull out, twisting slightly to form even coating.

    Deep fry in hot fat (375°) for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes or until golden brown.

    Remove skewer.

    Drain on paper towels.

    Keep warm.

    Serve with Mustard Sauce.
