- 1/2 c. shortenin'
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. boiling watah
- 1/4 c. sugah
- 1 hen egg
- 1/2 c. lukewarm watah
- 3 1/2 c. plain flour
- melted buttah
Directions

1Cream shortenin' and sugah; add salt and boilin' watah.

2Beat egg and add.

3Dissolve yeast in lukewarm watah.

4Add flour and mix good.

5Cover and put in icebox.

6Make out rolls 'bout 2 hours before bakin'.

7Put on a greased pan and brush with melted buttah. Let rise in a warm place.

8Bake in oven at 400° to 425° til pretty light brown, 10 to 15 minutes.

9Serve and jump outta the way.
