  • 1/2 c. boiling water
  • 1 egg
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. pastry flour
  • 1/4 c. sour milk
  • 3/4 tsp. soda

Directions

    Pour water over chocolate and butter; stir until melted.

    Add sugar, flour and soda which has been sifted.

    Add milk.

    Mix well.

    Break whole egg in and beat well.

    Bake at 350° in 2 layers and ice with any white frosting (boiled frosting is best).
