Double Quick Butter Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1 c. warm water
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp. oil

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in water.

    Stir in sugar, 1/2 the flour and the salt.

    Beat with spoon until smooth.

    Add egg and oil.

    Beat in rest of flour until smooth again.

    Cover; let rise for 30 minutes, or until double.

    Stir down and put in greased muffin cups 1/2 full.

    Let rise to top.

    Bake.

    Makes about 18 rolls.
