  • 1 c. oleo, at room temperature
  • 1 3/4 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 can cherry pie filling

    Cream butter, sugar and vanilla.

    Add eggs one at a time.

    Add the dry ingredients and spread all except 1 1/2 cups of batter in a jelly roll pan that is greased.

    Add the can of cherries to the top.

    Dabble the remaining 1 1/2 cups batter over the cherries. Bake 45 minutes at 350°.

    Drizzle thin powdered sugar frosting over the top when cool.
