- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 6 Tbsp. butter
- 1 egg yolk, beaten
- 1/3 c. milk
Directions

1Sift dry ingredients together.

2Cut in butter with knife or blender until it resembles coarse crumbs.

3Mix egg yolk and milk; stir in flour, adding only enough to hold the dough together. Shape into a ball.

4Wrap in wax paper and chill 1 hour.

5Roll out to 1/16-inch thick.

6Place 1 1/2 tablespoons filling in center and fold over.

7Moisten edges with cold water.

8Press with fork.

9Fry at 315° for 2 or 3 minutes on each side in hot oil.
