  • 4 1/2 c. milk
  • 3 rounded Tbsp. yeast
  • 1 1/2 c. warm water
  • 6 c. flour
  • 6 whole eggs
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. melted lard
  • 6 tsp. salt
  • 12 c. flour

Directions

    Bring the milk to a boil; cool to lukewarm.

    Dissolve the yeast with the warm water.

    Mix and add 6 cups flour.

    Let set for 30 minutes, then add the beaten eggs and egg yolks.

    Add the remaining ingredients.

    Let rise until double, then roll and cut. Let rise, then deep fat fry in vegetable oil.
