- 3 12 cups water
- 12 cup sugar
- 3 cups flour
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3 cups extra virgin olive oil, for frying
Directions

1In a large saucepan bring the water to a boil and add the sugar, cook for 1 minute.

2Continuously whisking, slowly pour the flour into the water.

7Cut the rope into lengths of about 6 inches, and form doughnut-shaped rings.

9Fry in the oil until golden, about 2-4 minutes, turning once then remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
