Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. melted butter
  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 c. sifted flour
  • 2 eggs
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 c. nuts
  • 1 c. coconut
  • 1 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
  • pinch of baking powder

Directions

    Mix butter, brown sugar and flour; press in 8 x 8-inch pan and bake 10 minutes in a 350° oven.

    While this is baking, beat eggs, salt and flour.

    Add vanilla, nuts, coconut, brown sugar and baking powder; mix well.

    Spread over first mixture and bake 15 minutes longer.

    Cut in squares when cooled.
