Ingredients

  • 1 loaf bread
  • 1 stalk celery
  • 1 Tbsp. onion
  • 1/4 tsp. sage
  • 1/4 tsp. poultry seasoning
  • some black pepper
  • 3 tsp. chicken soup base, dissolved in water
  • 2 c. water (hot)
  • 1 1/2 to 2 c. broth
  • 4 eggs, beaten

    Cube bread 2 or 3 days ahead to let it completely dry.

    Run celery and onion through the food processor and then cook until it loses its green look.

    Mix all together.

    Mixture should be rather sloppy, so add enough broth or water to make it soupy.

    Spray 9 x 13-inch cake pan with Pam.

    Cook at 350° for 45 to 60 minutes until set up and slightly brown.
