- 5 large potatoes, grated (raw)
- 5 large potatoes, boiled and mashed
- 2 eggs, beaten
- flour
- water
- bacon
- onion
Directions

1Mix potatoes and eggs with enough flour to hold together large dumplings.

2Drop in boiling salted water.

3Cook until done, about 30 to 40 minutes.

4Cut up several slices of bacon into small squares.

5Add a large onion (diced) and fry until onion is tender. Thoroughly coat dumplings in this mixture and fry lightly until brown.

6I use some butter to fry onions in until transparent.

7Pour over the dumplings; this is good.

8I don't use bacon grease.

9Pour that off.
