Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. soft oleo
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/4 c. each: chopped candied cherries, candied pineapple, chopped citron and raisins
  • Lemon Glaze

Directions

    Cream oleo and sugar until light.

    Beat in vanilla and eggs. Add sifted dry ingredients and fruit; mix well.

    Pour into a 9-inch square pan lined with waxed paper on bottom.

    Bake in a 325° oven for 25 to 30 minutes.

    Turn out on rack and peel off paper; turn right side up and brush with glaze.
