- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 2 c. flour
- 1 c. yellow cornmeal
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 Tbsp. melted butter
- 1 1/2 c. milk
Directions

1Preheat oven to 425°.

2In large bowl, beat the sugar and eggs until light.

3Stir together salt, flour, cornmeal and baking powder.

4Add to bowl along with butter and milk.

5Beat together quickly.

6Pour into buttered 9 x 13-inch pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.
