- 1 (18 1/4 oz.) box spice cake mix
- 1/2 c. margarine, melted
- 2 eggs
- 1 (21 oz.) can apple pie filling
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 c. margarine, softened
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1In a large bowl, combine dry cake mix, 1/2 cup melted margarine and eggs.

2Blend well.

3Spread on bottom of a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.

4Spoon apple pie filling evenly over batter.

5In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon; cut in 1/4 cup softened margarine and stir in nuts.

6Sprinkle over pie filling.

7Bake at 350° for 50 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly touched.

8Yield: 12 generous servings.
