- 1/2 lb. butter, softened
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 3 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar together.

2Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

3Mix flour with baking powder and add to creamed mixture alternately with the milk.

4Add vanilla and mix.

5Pour into a well-greased tube pan or 2 loaf pans.

6Bake in a 350° oven for approximately 1 hour.

7Frost cooled cake or sprinkle with powdered sugar.

8Also delicious just plain.
