- 2 lb. hamburger
- 1 lb. Italian sausage
- 2 medium bell peppers, seeded and cut in strips
- 3 to 4 medium onions, cut lengthwise, then sliced
- 6 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
- 2 (28 oz.) cans Pastene kitchen ready tomatoes
- Tabasco sauce
- black pepper
Directions

1Remove sausage from casing.

2Brown hamburger and sausage; drain grease.

3Fry peppers, onion and garlic until peppers soften and onions are clear.

4Combine these ingredients along with kitchen ready tomatoes in a large pot.

5Add Tabasco sauce and pepper to taste.

6Simmer over low heat, covered, for about 2 to 2 1/2 hours.

7Serve on torpedo rolls.
