Ingredients
- 1 c. self-rising cornmeal or 1 c. regular corn meal and 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. sour cream
- 2 eggs
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 stick butter
- 1 small can cream-style corn
Directions

1Place butter in pan in hot oven (400°) until melted.

2Sift corn meal, salt and sugar together in bowl.

3Put creamed corn, eggs, sour cream and onion into bowl and mix well (always mix wet ingredients into dry).

4Pour the melted butter very slowly into the mixture and stir.

5Pour into hot pan.

6Bake at 375° to 400° for about 45 minutes or until golden brown across the top.
