- 4 medium green peppers, cored, seeded and blanched
- 1 lb. hamburger
- 1 chopped onion
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 chopped tomatoes or 1 can stewed, drained and chopped
- 1 small can tomato sauce
- 1 Tbsp. basil
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 2 c. cooked rice
Directions

1Brown burger and onion together and drain off all fat.

2In large bowl, combine rice, margarine, meat mixture, tomatoes, salt and basil and mix well.

3Spoon filling into pepper shells and tamp down to make sure they are full.

4Top with tomato sauce and grated cheese.

5Bake at 350° for about 45 minutes.
