- 6 large tomatoes, cut into thin wedges
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 French baguette, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 pinch salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

2Arrange the tomato wedges in a single layer in a skillet over high heat, and cook 1 minute, until lightly scorched.

3Reduce heat to medium-low.

4Drizzle tomatoes with olive oil, and mix the garlic into the skillet.

5Gently cook and stir until tomatoes and garlic are tender.

6Remove from heat.

7Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet, and toast 5 minutes in the preheated oven, or until lightly brown.

8Spread toasted slices with butter, top with the tomatoes, and season with salt and pepper to serve.
