Ingredients
- 2 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 4 eggs
- 6 egg yolks
- 1 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. margarine, melted
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 Tbsp. grated lemon peel
- 2 c. warm milk
- 9 3/4 or 10 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 c. raisins
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
Directions

1In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in water; set aside.

2In large mixing bowl, beat the eggs and yolks until lemon colored. Gradually add sugar, butter, salt, vanilla, lemon juice and lemon peel.

3Heat well; blend in milk and yeast mixture.

4Add 6 cups flour; beat well.

5By hand, stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough.

6Turn on floured surface; knead until smooth, sprinkle with raisins.

7Knead 5 minutes.

8Place in greased bowl. Cover and let rise 1 hour.

9Knead again.

10Makes 3 loaves.

11Put in loaf pans.

12Bake at 325° until brown.
