- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 cups egg whites room temperature
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla

1Sift together flour and powdered sugar

2Combine egg whites, cream of tartar, salt until stiff peaks form

3Fold in sugar and flavoring

4Fold in the sifted flour and powdered sugar

5Pour into a 10 inch tube pan

6Bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes

7Invert hot cake and let hang in the pan for 1 hour to cool
