Ingredients

  • 6 Tbsp. flour
  • 3 lb. cubed beef
  • 4 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 2 1/2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 tsp. marjoram
  • 60 oz. V-8 juice
  • 2 1/2 tsp. beef bouillon granules
  • 4 c. sliced celery
  • 4 c. sliced carrots
  • 3 cans sliced mushrooms (optional)

Directions

    Combine flour with 2 teaspoons salt.

    Coat cubes and brown in oil.

    Add onion, garlic and marjoram.

    Stir in V-8, bouillon and 2 1/2 cups of water.

    Simmer, covered, 1 1/2 hours.

    Add celery and carrots and simmer 30 minutes or until tender.

    Add mushrooms and heat through.
