  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 lb. trimmed boneless beef chuck, cut into thin strips
  • 1 large onion, coarsely chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 (4 oz.) jar sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 c. beef broth
  • 1 c. thawed, frozen, sliced carrots
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 c. Minute rice, uncooked

    Heat oil in large skillet.

    Add meat and onions; cook and stir until meat is browned.

    Stir in flour, salt and pepper.

    Stir in tomatoes, mushrooms, broth, carrots and garlic powder.
