  • 4 c. canned fruit (peaches, plums, apricots, etc.)
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. flour
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. milk

Directions

    Bring fruit to boil in a saucepan; set aside to cool slightly.

    Melt butter or margarine in the bottom of a 9 x 13 inch pan.

    Add the sugar, flour, baking powder and milk and mix together thoroughly.

    Pour slightly cooled fruit over the batter; do not stir.

    Bake at 375° for 30-40 minutes, or until cake tests done.
