Easy Cheese Dip

  • 1 lb. sausage meat
  • 1 lb. ground round
  • 2 lb. Velveeta cheese, cut in cubes
  • 1 (10 oz.) can Ro-Tel whole tomatoes
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Brown the sausage and ground round in a large frying pan over medium heat and drain off the grease.

    Add the cheese, tomatoes and salt and pepper.

    Cook over low heat, stirring, until the cheese has melted and the liquid from the tomatoes has cooked away, about 15 minutes.

    If you want to make this dip a bit more elaborate, add a total of 1 cup sauteed onion, green pepper or fresh tomatoes.

    Serve hot with tortilla chips.
