  • 3/4 c. shortening
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. flour, sifted
  • 1 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Mix all ingredients together in a blender.

    Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13 x 2-inch cake pan.

    Bake at 325° for 25 minutes.

    Let cake cool before icing.
