Ingredients: 1/2 c. Crisco; 1/2 c. brown sugar; 1/4 c. granulated sugar; 1/2 tsp. vanilla; 1/4 tsp. water; 1 egg; 1 c. plus 2 tsp. flour (all-purpose); 1/2 tsp. soda; 1/2 tsp. salt; 1 c. M&M's plain chocolate candies

1/2 c. Crisco
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. water
1 egg
1 c. plus 2 tsp. flour (all-purpose)
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. M&M's plain chocolate candies

Blend Crisco and sugars. Beat in vanilla, water and egg.

Sift remaining dry ingredients together; add to the sugar and egg mixture. Mix well. Stir in M&M's candy. Drop from teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Makes about 3 dozen 2 1/2 inch cookies. For additional color, press M&M's candies into cookies before baking.
