- 3/4 cups Butter, Plus More For Greasing Baking Dish Or Paper
- 1 cup Powdered Sugar
- 1-1/2 cup Flour
- 1 cup Milk Powder
- 1-1/2 cup Milk
- 2 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder
- 1-1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1/2 teaspoons Cooking Soda
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Essence
- 1/2 Lemon, Juiced
Directions

1Take butter out of the fridge and let it soften for some time. The key is to get the butter to right temperature. We do not want the butter to melt or be rock hard. Once butter is soft enough for mixing, add powdered sugar and mix well till it forms a smooth paste.

2In another bowl, mix the remaining dry ingredients (flour, milk powder, cocoa powder, baking powder and baking soda). Mix well and set aside.

3Add milk and dry mixture slowly to the butter-sugar paste and keep whisking. Add vanilla essence and lemon juice; mix well.

4Preheat oven to 100°C (212°F) for 5 minutes. Cover a baking dish with buttered paper or brush it with butter and pour in the batter. Place in the oven and increase temperature to 180°C (355°F). Your very own chocolate cake will be ready in 40 minutes.
