- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 stick butter or margarine
Directions

1Mix flour, salt, baking powder and milk.

2Mix fruit, vanilla and sugar.

41/2 cup peaches, 1/2 cup blackberries or 3/4 cup cherries.

5Heat oven to 450°; put butter in pan; place pan in oven.

6Heat until bubbly, almost brown.

7Quickly pour in batter, then fruit.

8Cook for 30 minutes at 450°.

9Reduce temperature to 350°, cook 30 more minutes.
