- 2 to 3 c. okra
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 medium tomato, chopped
- 1 medium green pepper, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. dried basil
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Melt butter in medium frying pan.

2Add whole okra pods and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

3Add remaining ingredients and mix lightly.

4Cover and simmer until okra is tender (about 10 to 15 minutes).
