Easy Pineapple Upside-Down Cake

- 1 pkg. Supermoist yellow cake mix
- 1 (No. 2) can pineapple slices
- 4 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 c. brown sugar
- cherries
- enough water to make 1 c. mixed with pineapple juice
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 lb. Parkay margarine
Directions

1Bake cake by package directions.

2Melt shortening in bottom of pan.

3Add brown sugar and spread evenly over bottom of pan.

4Place pineapple slices over mixture.

5Place a cherry in center of each pineapple slice.

6Pour cake over sugar and pineapple and bake. Heat pineapple juice, water, butter and sugar.

7Pour over cake when its baked and still hot.

8Poke holes in it with fork to soak up pineapple juice mixture.
