  • 8 whole eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

Directions

    Mix the eggs.

    Add the milk, salt sugar and flour and hand mix for one minute.

    Do not over-mix!

    Pre-heat popover pan with 1/2 teaspoon vegetable oil in each cup for 10 minutes.

    When hot, fill each cup with popover mix 3/4 full.

    Bake for 10 minutes at 400 degrees.

    Reduce heat to 350 degrees and cook for an additional 35 minutes.

    Be sure popovers are cooked inside to prevent collapsing.

    Always use a cookie sheet as a drip pan for excess grease when the popover pops!
