Ingredients
- 2 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
- 8 tbsp suger (optional)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 180 ml sour cream
- 1 egg
Directions

1Preheat oven to 200C.

2Sieve flour and mix all dry ingredients.

3Add butter in with your hand and rub to form crumbs.

4Whisk egg and sour cream together and gradually pour into flour mixture.

5Use a flat bladed knife or pastry blender to mix but make sure not to over work your dough

6Prep your work surface with a dusting of flour and pat the scone dough to a thickness of about 2cm.

7Again make sure dough is not over worked.

8Puff your baking tray with flour and place your 12 cuts of dough scones on.

9Pop your tray into the oven and leave to bake for 20 min or until golden brown.

10Once baked, set them out to cool and serve them with jam or butter and grated cheese.
